Open House Country Flowers & Interiors may specialize in high-end floral and interior design, but it is inspired by so much more than just its concentration. Founder and Principal Nancy Munch is always motivated by her sophisticated standards for accessories, location, furniture, and food—a collaborative taste which drives a skillful passion. Nancy’s devotion and keen aesthetic palate sustain her rank among respected designers. This presence, born in the summer of 1996, owes to a strong desire to bring customized visions to life. She gives a great deal of credit to her extensive European travel for influencing her trademark techniques. Nancy’s signature style, which includes a precise sense of color selection and ambitious energy, is widely recognized.

Open House Country aims to provide for lifestyle, be it country living or modern chic. Nancy draws from her comprehensive knowledge of interior architecture and decorative arts, and her many years of design experience, in order to lead a team and establish a vision. She believes that the most inspired project is not simply a self-involved concept, but rather a collaboration. In her eyes, a room’s key to casual elegance is a collection of fine art, antiques, and personal treasures. With that same value in mind, Nancy curates and cooperates with craftspeople, residential and commercial architects, landscape architects, furniture manufacturers, and fabricators to achieve her goals. Patience, peace, and comfort define a seamless atmosphere.

Following her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Nancy earned recognition on the eastern end of Long Island while working with the most influential clients and a celebrity patronage. She continues her celebrated pursuits on the East End today. Her work has been featured among a variety of media avenues, including the Food Network’s Barefoot Contessa with Ina Garten, Newsday Long Island, and the wedding blog “Style Me Pretty”. Locally, the Three Village Historical Society has—most selectively—commissioned Nancy to style the showcase homes featured on their renowned annual Candlelight House Tour, trusting her above all to pair her eye for architectural finery with historically significant detail.

Open House Country aims especially to encourage individuality. Vow to be different.
